Ministries at Trinity Episcopal Church

At Trinity, we believe that ministry is how we live as a community formed by the love of Christ. Whether you’re exploring faith, looking for ways to grow spiritually, or eager to serve our neighbors in Marshall, there’s a place for you here.

Spiritual Growth & Formation

Psalms Lectionary Study

A thoughtful study group focused on the Psalms and the appointed Scripture readings, inviting reflection, shared insight, and meaningful conversation grounded in the lectionary. The group meets Mondays at 10am and is open to everyone.

Clothing & Uniform Swaps

Throughout the year, Trinity hosts clothing and school uniform swaps for our community. These events help families save money and connect with neighbors, and they offer a simple, practical way for our parish to extend Christ’s care beyond our doors. It’s also a great way to clean out your closet and freshen up your wardrobe with “new to me” items!

Toy Swap

During the holiday season, we invite families to come with gently used toys to swap for other “new to me” toys for their children. This joyful event spreads cheer and connects Trinity with the broader Marshall community.

Thanksgiving Outreach

Each Thanksgiving, Trinity prepares and serves 900 hot meals to neighbors in need. This long-standing tradition is one of our largest outreach ministries, rooted in hospitality and generosity.

Third Sunday Lunch Bags

On the third Sunday of every month, volunteers prepare and distribute 40+ lunch bags for people experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. It’s a small but meaningful way we share Christ’s love and support our neighbors.

Community Impact

Fellowship & Community Life

Meet & Greet — After Church

Stay after worship and grab a cup of coffee! Our Meet & Greet time is a chance to connect, catch up, welcome visitors, and build relationships in a relaxed, friendly setting.

Fellowship Events

We host periodic gatherings — meals, movie nights, seasonal celebrations, and special offerings — where parishioners and friends can share laughter, deepen friendships, and enjoy the joy of community.

Children & Youth at Trinity

At Trinity Episcopal Church, children and young people are welcomed as full members of our worshiping community. In this season of renewal, our approach to children and youth ministry is centered on participation, formation, and relationship — with an eye toward growth in the years ahead.

Acolytes

Children and youth are invited to serve as acolytes, assisting in worship and learning the rhythms of Episcopal liturgy. This ministry offers young people a meaningful role at the altar and helps them grow in confidence, responsibility, and faith.

Seasonal Worship & Special Services

We intentionally create opportunities for children and youth to participate in worship throughout the year.

Our Christmas Eve Pageant, first introduced in 2024, has quickly become a joyful tradition. In its first year, 18 children participated, including parish children, Trinity School students, and visiting family members. We look forward to continuing this beloved offering as a space where children can lead us in wonder, storytelling, and praise.

Easter Egg Hunt

Following the Easter service, Trinity hosts an Egg Hunt, with 1,000 eggs hidden throughout the church grounds. This festive celebration brings together parish families, Trinity School students, and neighbors for joy, connection, and Easter celebration.

Children & Holy Communion

At Trinity, we believe the Eucharist is a gift of grace, not a reward for understanding. Children are welcome to receive Holy Communion as soon as they are able to come forward and receive the bread, with the permission and guidance of their parents or caregivers.

As children grow, we offer a First Informed Communion class — a gentle, age-appropriate opportunity to learn more about the meaning of the Eucharist and our shared life at the Table. This is not a requirement for receiving Communion, but an invitation to deeper understanding as faith matures.

All are welcomed at Christ’s table.

A Growing Ministry

Like many churches following the disruptions of COVID, Trinity is in a season of rebuilding and renewal. While we do not currently offer weekly Sunday School or a youth group, we are thoughtfully discerning how best to grow these ministries in a way that is sustainable, welcoming, and rooted in the life of the parish.

Families with children are warmly encouraged to reach out — your presence and participation help shape what comes next.

Get Involved

Ministry at Trinity happens because people show up with open hearts and willing hands. Wherever you are in your faith journey, you are invited to participate, grow, and serve.
