Scripture is at the heart of our worship. Here, you’ll find the lectionary readings appointed for our services and an opportunity to reflect more deeply on God’s Word throughout the week.

What Is the Lectionary?

The Episcopal Church follows a lectionary, a schedule of Bible readings used throughout the church year. These readings help guide worship and connect us to the seasons of the Church, from Advent and Christmas to Lent, Easter, and Pentecost.

Most services include readings from the Old Testament, Psalms, New Testament letters, and the Gospels. By following the lectionary, congregations engage with a broad range of Scripture over time and join millions of Christians around the world who are reflecting on many of the same passages each week.

While the lectionary follows a set schedule of readings throughout the church year, there are sometimes multiple passage options available. In those cases, Reverend Dana will choose the readings that best fit the message they feel called to share and the life of the church at that time.

We invite you to explore the readings, listen to past sermons, and spend time reflecting on how God may be speaking through Scripture today.
