Rooted in History. Growing into God’s Future.
At Trinity Episcopal Church, we are a community shaped by the historic Christian faith and enlivened by a thoughtful, prayerful engagement with the world. We belong to the Episcopal tradition — a branch of the global Anglican Communion that seeks always to be faithful to Jesus Christ while embracing the richness of Scripture, the wisdom of the Church’s tradition, and the clarity of reason.
We believe that the Bible contains all things necessary for salvation and remains our primary guide in faith and life. And we interpret Scripture within the living tradition of the Church and with minds that engage the world courageously and critically, trusting that truth and faith are partners in the journey of discipleship.

Our faith is liturgical.
Our worship follows ancient forms of prayer and praise drawn from the Book of Common Prayer. These forms connect us with Christians across time and place and help shape our life together as the body of Christ.
We are sacramental.
Baptism and Holy Communion — the sacraments that our Lord Jesus commanded his followers to observe — are at the heart of our life together. In these sacred acts we encounter the presence of God, are claimed as Christ’s own, and are strengthened for lives of service.

We are creedal.
The ancient creeds — including the Nicene Creed and the Apostles’ Creed — anchor our understanding of God and serve as faithful summaries of the core truths of the Christian faith. These timeless words root us in the faith of the Church universal.
We follow the via media.
We follow the “middle way” of the Anglican tradition. This means holding together the best insights of diverse Christian expressions — Catholic and Reformed — while resisting extremes, and seeking a faithful, balanced witness rooted in the Gospel.

Historical Faith & Joyful Commitment
At Trinity, this identity shapes everything we do: from our worship services to our ministries in Marshall, from the questions we ask to the prayers we offer. We are a parish deeply rooted in the historic Christian faith and joyfully committed to participating in God’s mission in our community and in the world.
